Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

Package Itinerary

Day 1: Paro [Arrival] transfer to Thimphu:

Paro [Arrival] transfer to Thimphu: The flight into the Himalayas reveals scenic and breathtaking views of Himalayan Mountains. As soon as your flight enters Paro valley which is surrounded by 4000 meter high mountains stretching across the west of Bhutan, will enable you to have a visible landing which is indispensable and will make your day an unforgettable one. Your Bhutanese representative from Fly to Bhutan will welcome you on arrival and drive Thimphu (2350m) it takes about 1.5 hours through Paa chu and Wang chu river, it mainly have scrub as vegetation. The countryside from Chuzom to Thimphu is less forested than what you have been seeing so far and the valley are narrow except for two sections where it widens into gentle slopes, terraced rice field and lovely strand of conifer trees. Day 2: Thimphu (Sightseeing) - Punakha:

Thimphu (Sightseeing) - Punakha: This morning visit:

  • The majestic Tashichho Dzong and the newly consecrated Tara LhadenZhingkhamLhakhang (temple)
  • Continue on to the awesome Changangkha Lhakhang which also offers an excellent with sensational valley views.
  • Visit Buddha Point where a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue was constructed. Located a short drive from Thimphu City Centre, visitors get a good overview of the Thimphu valley from the Buddha point (Kuensel Phodrang).It is called Buddha point because the largest statue of Buddha in the country sits there.
  • The memorial Chorten is one of the most visible landmarks of Thimphu, built in 1974 to honor the memory of third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. It is a four-storey Chorten decorated with richly carved annexes facing the cardinal directions, and features elaborate mandalas, statues and a shrine dedicated to the popular third king.
  • Towards evening, drive back to Paro. Upon arrival, check into hotel for overnight halt. Overnight halt in the Hotel, Paro

Day 3: Paro Sightseeing

Paro Sightseeing- A very special day, with an excursion to view the spectacular Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. And towards evening visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of oldest and most beautiful temple. The temple is popularly believed to have been built by King SongtsenGampo of Tibet, to pin down the left foot of a giant ogress who was thwarting the establishment of Buddhism into Tibet. Additional buildings and a golden roof were constructed in 1839 by the penlop (governor) of Paro and the 25th Je Khenpo. Elderly pilgrims constantly walk around the temple spinning its many prayer wheels. In the Evening take a leisure walk through Paro town and Overnight at Hotel, Paro

Day 4: Departure Transfer:

Departure Transfer: After breakfast, drive to Paro International airport for onward destination.

After confirmation, F2B will send you the confirmation letter informing you of the proposed flight, hotels and tour itinerary. At this stage, if you need to make any changes in the conditions, F2B reserves the right to make those changes and will provide you with alternative options

 

Travel Insurance


To protect against unforeseen accidents and mishaps, we would like to suggest and advise you to have a Travel Insurance policy from your country. The Travel Insurance policy should cover helicopter evacuation services and medical assistance. Flying to Happiness will not be liable for any kind of injury, illness or death during your visit to Bhutan either of trek or cultural tour.

Cancellation Policy

Tour programs booked and subsequently cancelled are subjected to a cancellation charge as follows :

 Within 21 days 10% of the rate
 Within 14 days 15% of the rate
 Within 7 days 30% of the rate
 Less than 7 days 50% of the rate
 After arrival in Bhutan 100%
