The Tourism Council of Bhutan determines the price for all tours in Bhutan. This fixed price covers expenses for hotels, camping facilities, transportation, meals, entrance fees, guide services and the government royalty fees of $65 US per person per night. (This Royalty goes towards free education, free healthcare, poverty alleviation, along with the building of infrastructure) When you book directly with Flying to Happiness , you do not have to pay any additional commission to a non-Bhutanese travel agent. The hotel price is 3-4star, clean and comfortable hotels based on double occupancy; all hotels have electricity and showers with hot water. Five-star luxury upgrades are available in Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha at an additional cost.
The final tour price depends upon the number of people in a group and the season. Any time you can visit Bhutan.
Peak season : US$ 250 per person per night for the month of March, April, May, September, October and December.
Off-season : US$ 200 per person per night for the month of January, February, June, July, August and December.
Visa application Fees : U$ 40 per person per head only once.
Tourism Development fees : $ 5 per person per head only once.
SURCHARGES These are as follows: Single individual - US$ 40 per night Group of 2 persons only - US$ 30 per person per night The 10% agency commission payable to agents abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge.
Discount : The government does not charge a royalty fee for children under the age of six; expenses for food and bedding will be charged. Children from six through twelve accompanied by their parents or guardians receive a 50% discount on the daily rates.
These rates are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan. On the day of departure, the ‘local agents’ host obligation shall be limited to providing breakfast only and any extra requirements shall be payable on usage basis.
